Hi, ,
It's been a while...I realized that I had two years of entries and decided to do some website cleaning. It was kind of nice to skim through old posts and comments but it also reminds me that I haven't seen/talked/heard from some of you in a long time! :( Jane, Susannah - are you still on xanga?)

So... may I share with you a bit of what's new here in Minnesota? :)
In thinking back on the past year, I must say that I had a really great year.  I got through boards and started my clinical rotations.  It has been a good experience overall but did involve some painful hours and humbling experiences.  I have yet to find a specialty that I love but I still have a few more important rotations to go through before I have to make a decision.  I could write more but that would be opening potential treasure chest of stories that I'm a little tired of telling, so I'll just say that I finished surgery and will start psychiatry January 2nd.  I'm hoping to work with a Christian psychiatrist and am hopeful that it will be a highly educational at multiple levels as well as an intellectually intriguing experience.  We'll see.  I'm a little skeptical at times.  I had a couple of disappointments along the way related to medicine, but I do have a 8 week Tazania rotation set up that I'm very much looking forward to.  Not only will we see a lot of medicine, but there'll be opportunities to learn swahili, go on a safari, and possibly even climg Mt. Kilimanjaro!

Even so, the best part of my year revolves around my roommates and the college students.  The calendar year defines the start as being in January, so I guess I'll start there. :)
1. January - Music camp  - beginning of the band  -  Awesome of see them grow and serve together.  Awesome to see Rosie sing with confidence and heart and to share it with us... See Tim become a leader... see our dear young brothers grow
2. Spring - Growing in receiving God's love for us and receiving love from one another, beginning to women's fellowship -> prayer meetings.
3 April - singing on campus!
4. Green Lake Camp - Psalms, frolicking in the field with the sisters!, diving pathetically and pulling Jenny out of the lake!, Rachel getting baptized!!
5. Summer - birthday wishes, house bonding, Shannon living with us, Jenny, Jeffrey + many more's baptisms,
6. Fall - more of the above, Anna moving back, seeing Jenny, David, Jeffrey, Daniel, and Michelle  + more serve the jr.high/high schoolers!, 1 Corinthians Bible study,

Of course there's more but that's all I'll share for now. I'd love to hear from you and perhaps by sharing a bit of me, you might share a bit of what's going on with the real you? :) I love that you Toronto sisters post so often! I don't always keep up but I'm still on xanga because of you! :)

Maybe some of you will be at Ignite.. I hope you have a wonderful experience.  May the Lord's presence be so real to you all.
with prayers for you,
Esther
